A Day of 'I Missed a Test'.
At the moment, I’m recovering from typhoid and malaria and I must say, it hasn’t been too good. Taking medications is something I awfully dislike and I cannot wait for this to end. I’m tired of feeling nauseated and irritated. I’m tired of having indigestion and just being uncomfortable. I’m tired of being tired and always wanting to sleep. There’s a lot to catch up with and I can’t help but feel sleepy and tired. Is this what taking medication feels like? Not like it’s my first but then, this needs to pass.
Last night, I managed to be a little productive and I was glad even if my stomach was tussling with gas and indigestion. I was so uncomfortable. I had to walk like 30minutes, to and fro to feel at ease. It did a little though but my stomach was still bloated.
I woke up early this morning to complete a task. When I got done, I went back to sleep. I had zeroed my mind to going to class to rest. One class got cancelled and I was unsure if the rest was going to hold. They like doing on and off, didn’t want to stress it, so I stayed back.
Breakfast was spaghetti and fried dodo. It wasn’t all that bad and I enjoyed it too. As soon as I was done eating, took my drugs, relaxed a bit, and went back to bed. I was already feeling sleeping again at 11am. I managed to watch one of my weekly kdrama-'The First Responders’. It wasn’t all that fun while I watched, because all I did was skip every minute at every scene. I just needed to sleep. When I was done watching, I realized it was 12 already.
Omo, I woke by 3, seeing a message that there was test. Eweee. The only reason I was surprised was that I didn’t react anxiously by the message. I was like, there was nothing I could do. It was late already and I was still even trying to get my thoughts together.
I didn’t even know what to do but I definitely wasn’t sad. I didn’t even know why. I had called the class rep for updates and was curious to know what happened. The borrowed courses are always the ones giving headaches. Tch. I decided not to make it worry me and hoped everything was going to be fine.
I settled down to eat lunch, thinking about how the remaining days of the week would go. I decided I was just going to try going to school, attending classes, whether or not, it would hold, regardless of how I feel and had hoped my drugs wouldn’t have any side effects on me. I arranged my books for the following day and when I was done, I listened to music.
Lauv is such a great artist. I can listen to his songs all day. I don’t mind if I don’t like a particular song of his but as far as it’s his voice, that’s okay. His voice is so soothing, not going to lie. I particularly recommend him to anyone reading this. An absolute hot cake!
One thing I realize from this day is, sometimes, things you think will bother you are the ones giving you little or nothing to worry about. I mean, I’m supposed to be going here and there looking for ways to make up for the test I missed, thinking and worrying myself out. Of course I’ll try making a move when I’m chanced but right now, I don’t know about later but at the moment, nothing can be done. I feel the moment we realize a situation has gone pass what we can’t control or handle, we should accept the situation. When we accept the situation, there’s room for solution to dive in and you’d be able to know what step and move to make.
I don’t know if this is just to make myself feel better about what happened but it is just what it is.
I hope tomorrow will be a better day than today.
