A Day, of 'Keke drivers Will Ruin You'
Tell me why this Keke driver will give my friend a torn money, saying it’s good. They both can see it’s torn but he kept saying it’s good and that people will collect it. Why is he even trying to convince her in the first place? We all can see the money is torn and bad!!! It will take nothing from him to replace it.
So my friend and I were heading to the market but my other friend wasn’t going along with us, so she told the Keke driver to drop her at her destination. She paid him and was expecting her change.
That was how this man just brought out this terrible money. Only God knows what the hell the money has been through.
My friend said the money was bad that she can’t collect it. This man started telling her the money was good and nothing was wrong with it. She pleaded for the money to be changed but oga didn’t want to surrender. I was like what’s going on bayin?
It was so annoying cause he clearly could see the money was not good but didn’t want to do anything about it. So she returned the money to him and decided to pay for my other friend. The way I blurted, “hope it’s not me that will collect this money as change” because honestly, I didn't want to collect it.
When she left, another passenger joined us. Unfortunately, this one had already seen what had happened. I was so sure she wasn't also collect the money.
Okay oh. This one reached her destination and this man gave her the same torn money my friend had returned to him. Oga!!!! You can’t tell me you don’t have any other good money. Haba! He was still arguing with her! Ontop “Owo to ti baje”(money that has torn).
See, I was just laughing because I knew if this lady doesn’t collect this money, I’d be the one he would end up giving. She gave him another denomination,so she was able to avoid collecting this money. Omo, see, I was just looking.
Would you believe it? When we got to our destination, this man brought out two 50 naira and didn’t give me the terribly torn money. I was like, ‘oga!!! So you even had change and you were busy forcing the bad money on your passengers?’ Imagine???
He was now behaving innocent. Oga, shey you know you’ve committed a crime like that? He knew the money was bad. He probably had collected it from a previous passenger and now, he was looking for who to dispose the money to.
You see this no change and bad money issue eh, it’s so annoying.
That was how one gave me a bad money and was shinning teeth. I was like why’s this one shining teeth. It wasn't funny. I collected It and ignored.
Some will tell you beforehand that there isn’t change and that’s fine. But you see those ones that will intentionally not tell you that there isn’t change,so you’ll end up telling them,”oya just leave it” or paying more than what you should in the name of there’s no change,I forgive them. And those ones that will intentionally give you bad money saying, “na the only change I get be that” when it isn't true, I forgive them too.
